LGBTQIA Experience
LGBTQIA issues and advocacy have been a focus area for me since my teen years when I was a co-founder of my high school’s  Gay Straight Alliance. I strive to create a safe space for individuals of all identities in my personal and professional life. I identify as both a member and an ally to the LGBTQIA Community.

Program Assistant - University of Rhode Island
As a Program Assistant my duties included staffing center for drop in hours and peer counseling, outreach to students, and designing promotional materials for the GLBT Center and for the Welcome Project program.

The Welcome Project was designed by a committee I was a part of to replace the "Safe Zone" idea. We designed the Welcome Project to combat homophobia and transphobia and, most importantly affirm the dignity of all members of the URI Community.
